EVA geomembrane is a geotechnical anti-seepage material made of ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) as raw material

1. Main features
Flexibility and elasticity
EVA geomembrane has good flexural properties, flexibility and elasticity, can adapt to complex terrain and base deformation, is easy to construct and has excellent welding effect.
Weather resistance and aging resistance
It has excellent resistance to environmental stress cracking and aging, long service life, and is suitable for projects exposed to the natural environment for a long time.
Adhesion performance
It has strong adhesion with other materials (such as geotextiles), which is convenient for composite use and improves the overall anti-seepage effect.
Low temperature performance
It can still maintain flexibility in low temperature environment, which is particularly suitable for construction needs in cold areas.
Strong puncture resistance

It has high mechanical strength and excellent puncture resistance, and can effectively resist damage from external objects.

2. Application field
Underground engineering
It is suitable for waterproofing and anti-seepage of underground projects such as subways, tunnels, and air-raid shelters, which can effectively isolate groundwater and protect structural safety.
Water conservancy projects
Used for anti-seepage treatment of water conservancy facilities such as dams, artificial lakes, and canals to prevent water leakage and soil erosion.
Industrial waterproofing
Applicable to waterproofing projects of industrial plants, warehouses and other buildings to protect buildings from water damage.
Environmental protection projects

Can be used for bottom and side wall anti-seepage of projects such as landfills and sewage treatment plants to prevent harmful substances from penetrating and polluting the environment.

3. Comparison with other geomembranes
Compared with PE geomembranes (HDPE/LDPE)
EVA geomembranes have more advantages in flexibility, low temperature performance and bonding performance, especially suitable for cold areas and projects that need to be composited with other materials. PE geomembranes (especially HDPE) perform better in mechanical strength and chemical corrosion resistance, and are suitable for high-strength and puncture-resistant scenes.
Compared with PVC geomembranes

EVA geomembranes are alternatives to PVC anti-seepage membranes, with better flexibility and low temperature resistance, and better environmental protection performance.

4. Summary of advantages and disadvantages
Advantages
Good flexibility and strong ability to adapt to deformation.
Aging resistance, strong puncture resistance, and long service life.
Excellent low-temperature performance, suitable for construction in cold areas.
Good bonding performance, easy to use in combination.
Disadvantages
Relatively high cost, especially EVA geomembranes with high VA content.
Sensitive to ultraviolet rays, protective measures need to be taken for long-term exposure.
